Did airfare costs go up?
I don’t fly very often but the last time I flew from Texas to Missouri which isn’t far at all just around 58 minutes or more on May 11, 2009
1 Adult: $73.49
Taxes & Fees: $16.11
Total: $89.60
Now I’m going back March 5, 2010 same website, same trip, same details, one-way. And the total is now a huge $338! total cost for a one way short trip with nothing extra.
Did i miss something that happened in the world? Stumble on some sort of flight deal last time? Because i don’t remember of any deals it was just a plain cheap, 1 person, short trip.

Try a different website. Kayak.com shows a one-stop flight from DFW to St. Louis for a little over $100 and non-stop flights for around $140. If you’re flying from a smaller city to another small city, expect fares to be higher than they are from major airports because of less demand.
