What to do for a mini weekend vacation with the family?
My younger sister is turning 21 next month. Her and my dad want to have a mini weekend vacation with the family to celebrate. My mom and I are like…”ehh ok whatever” as long as its not too expensive. We currently reside in Southern California.
We thought about going to Las Vegas. $150 for one night plus $450 for 4 tickets to a show plus food plus gas…that all eventually adds up to almost $1,000 for just ONE weekend. That idea is still kind of up in the air.
Thought about going to Catalina, but my sister is not interested in any of the activities there.
Thought about going fishing in Channel Islands, but again…my sister isn’t interested.
Thought about going to Napa, but it seems boring…sit and drink wine. My sister would get a kick out of it since she’s turning 21, but I think its kind of boring.
Anyone have any ideas? I think our budget would be $1,000 for one weekend since that’s how much Vegas would cost. (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday)
How about Laughlin?
It’s not as glitzy as Vegas, but the hotels are a LOT cheaper. Rent a Jetski on the river or up on Lake Mojave. Stay at the River Palms, it’s very nice.
