What other airlines (economy) go out of Hanoi offering good prices and service? Any websites known? I do not know names of carriers except the main stream names.

Air canada are usually pretty good. The cheapest airline I know to canada is a company call globespan (check their website) they fly from gatwick but I’m not sure if they will go to montreal or not but it’s probably your best bet.

is this a normal price for a round trip ticket (multiple destination)?

So I’m looking at ticket prices for flights leaving from Newark to Tokyo Narita airport and then from Seoul Incheon Airport back to Newark. The cheapest price I can find is $1600 – is this waayy too much? I really don’t want to fly US Airways, Northwest, United or those other airlines that have bad reps for flight delays because it’s imperative for me to be at my destination at a designated time (I have to get picked up by a service).

Yes, for a multiple stop ticket that isn’t such a high price. It might be a little less or more depending on the season you’re flying, but that is reasonable.

I’m not sure of your travel dates, but I found ticket for $1500 flying on JAL (which is far more reliable).

However, I actually made this exact same trip (except from Atlanta-Narita-Seoul-Atlanta). You can take a boat from Japan to South Korea and with train fees and boat fees it’ll cost a little under $400. It saved me a little bit of money and the trip was much more exciting. I would suggest looking into boats that depart out of Fukuoka, Japan(Hakata Port) and arrive in Busan, South Korea.

This is just a suggestion, but I highly recommend it

love love love this hotel. went to it once with a wild card package.. (where they pick the hotel for you) and we loved it. we wanna stay here again but it is so damn expencive everywhere! where can i find good deals?

I just went to Omni’s own web site (http://www.omnihotels.com/) and checked a few dates in February 2010, and I’m seeing rooms as low as $120 (weekend rate), $135 (advance purchase) or $144 (AAA rate).

Considering that the Omni is a high-end luxury hotel that’s considerably more comfortable and upscale than your usual vacation hotel, those prices don’t strike me as “so damn expensive”. They’re not cheap, but if you “love love love” the hotel, they ain’t bad.

Sometimes you can find “really cheap deals” at the Cancun and other Omni hotels advertised on TravelZoo (http://www.travelzoo.com/) — you can’t count on ‘em being there, but when they pop up, they will be half or less the usual “best” rates.
