Road trip or coast to coast…?
Hi…I wanted to know a few things about travelling…a road trip is cool, but hard…I was wondering…do the air-plane companies (AirOne,Lufthansa…)have some sort of package that let me travel around the world with one ticket?…like the interrail(with train)…I choose the destinations and make a ticket to move from one to another…is it possible?…what’s the name of this thing?…’coast to coast’?…Thanks!
yep, its called an ’round the world ticket’.
cheaper if you fly in one direction (so choose to travel either east or west) , choose your destinations and off you go.
never buy a round the world fare online, no matter how cheap it is. Always go to your local travel agent for round the world tickets….some travel agents are partners with airlines so you can get further discounts!

cheap round the world flights

How can I get cheap round the world flights starting and ending in Tunisia?
I need to fly from Tunisia to Florida then either going to theUK from there or via the UK returning there after Florida. From the UK I have to go to Thailand and then back to Tunisia. All this in summer!
I travel worldwide all the time. Of course my husband is a pilot and I get discounts! lol
Before I was married to my husband though I still used to travel a lot and found that the absolute best way is to call airlines direct. I compared prices that I got off the internet to prices that were quoted me on the phone, and the phone prices were cheaper. There are a few simple suggestions you should follow though:
– Choose the same airline for all legs of your itinerary whenever possible so you can take advantage of all connecting and round-trip airfares.
– Remember that Saturday night stays are usually required for most bargain airfares.
– Try to fly on the least popular days: Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday.
– Try to select the least popular flight times: mid-morning or late evening.
– Check with discount airlines for cheaper fares.
– Try to book as far in advance as possible. Generally try to purchase your tickets at least 21 days in advance of departure. Many airlines also have specials requiring three-, seven- or 14-day advance purchase.
– In general, the cheapest airfares are available in the spring and summer.
– If you travel around the holidays, book your departure and return flights a day or more before and after peak travel dates. If you’re flexible, you might benefit by waiting until the last minute to book your flight because major carriers often run special sales. These sales, however, often have a long list of rules, restrictions and blackout dates.
–Consider booking tickets that come with restrictions because they also come with a cheaper price tag.
– Consider using alternate airports near your desired airport. The extra drive can save you hundreds of dollars.
–Be as flexible as possible with your dates.
